The Feast of the Forgotten East, aka. The Feast of Saint Andronicus, October 11, 2014. Politarchopolis.

This was the College’s first full event since the original Feast of Saint Andronicus in 2012, and it went rather well. The Stewarding Team did an excellent job of organising and catering the event, with fun had by all who attended.

A small round-robin “token tourney” was held, wherein onlookers were given tokens to gift to their favoured fighters every round, due to either prowess of chivalry. At the end of the tourney the combatant with the most tokens emerged victorious. A fencing tourney with only a few combatants was held with a similar format.

The feast was done in the style of Middle Eastern cuisine from the 15th Century – dishes obtained and tested by Lady Jadwiga and Lady Blanche – and then prepared in the kitchen by a crack team lead by Daniel of the Frozen, Courteous North (aka. Canadian Dan), who deserves great accolades for his efforts.

The decoration for the Hall was a joint Andronican effort, with special mention going to Lady Caitlin Dai (who was in fact given her AoA at this event), and Lady Blanche.

Special thanks also to Lord Aymer de Mannvers, who as always, surpassed himself in service and courtesy.

Much delicious food was eaten, awards were received, thanks given, and after a few rounds of song, the populace went home content.
